The Arts Council strives to enhance and encourage the development of art and artists in our community. In addition to the Student Art Show, and support for ongoing art in education programs, the Council supports emerging artists through its individual grants program which this year will award $10,000 to artists in the areas of dance, drama, visual arts, and music and the arts in education program grants through the Lester B. Hayes Trust fund with two $500 grants to be awarded this year.
